Disneyland Paris

Indiana Jones, Disneyland, Paris
Opened in 1992 as "Euro Disney" in a storm of protest and controversy, Disney's first venture outside the US is now drawing thousands to the "Magic Kingdom" every day. Walt Disney Studios has now opened next door, giving guests even more to do during their visit. The amusement park itself is sectioned into various themed areas: Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland. Each "land" has its own characters, rides, souvenirs and foods.
One admission price gets you into all of the areas and provides access to all of the rides and attractions. In order to accommodate the large numbers of people who are eager to experience the main attractions, Disney has developed the "Fast Pass" allowing you to essentially make a reservation for a particular time of day. Top attractions include the Space Mountain roller coaster, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids ride, and the Indiana Jones experience.
Outside the park you will find Village Disney. Basically a shopping and entertainment complex, the area has several stores, restaurants and night clubs that not only attract tourists, but local residents. There is no admission fee, but some of the clubs do have a cover charge.
Walt Disney Studios is a separate park, featuring rides, attractions and shows based around the motion picture and animation industry. Studio tours, demonstrations by Disney animators, and costume and makeup shops will give you an excellent introduction into the magic of movies. There is a separate admission price for the Studios; however, ticket packages will allow you access into all Disney Facilities.
